Putting The Phone Down On 2017

(beep)

well hello there future anna, we have come a long way haven't we! this time last year i was in australia, having a brilliant time, and discovering more about who i am and how i work. i really hope i can go back someday. also, non future anna people, i hope you had a good christmas or a good day if you don't celebrate it! anyway, i posted my list of new years resolutions and thought it would be nice to go over them and see what i achieved, before i post what my resolutions for 2018 are! if you wanna read last years post, i will link it here: http://annasnothere.blogspot.co.uk/2016/12/ring-ring-its-2017.html

1.     Create 2 new films.
Ok, so i made 1 film, but i did make more youtube videos than i thought i would and blogged more! I know it isn't really a substitute but i am happy with what i achieved and that i managed to make 'je m'appelle' with sooo many lovely people!

2.     Learn to play the ukulele. wait, is that how you spell it?
I still don't really know how to spell it and i haven't even looked at it over the past few months, let alone played it!! Haha! I guess I've just had no motivation to do anything new, which is a shame!

3.     Go on holiday with my sister.
This one didn't happen either lol! I am stil hoping to do this one day, but i haven't gotten round to it yet, especially as my sister is in college and we both work at the weekends! I thought it would be cool to play 'Barcelona' by Ed Sheeran and surprise her with a holiday there for her birthday but have you seen how expensive it is??? hah!!!

4.     Learn every word to 'car radio' by Twenty One Pilots.
I would say i kinda achieved this. I have spent the last year trying to find new music and artists to listen to, but that has meant i stopped listening to artists like twenty one pilots. I still really enjoy their stuff though. I wouldn't say i have learnt the song off by heart yet, but i have a pretty good go whenever it plays haha!!

5.     Enter 'The Best Days' in the Raindance film festival!
I did that! It didn't get nominated or win anything but i didn't expect that, i just wanted to show off what me and my friends had made! Maybe something else will be entered into a competition in the future!

6.     be more happy.
This is the only resolution that kinda came true. I would say that 2016 was probably one of the worst years of my life. Not to be dramatic or anything but i was depressed and hated everything. After getting back from Sydney, my goal was to get therapy and sort myself out. I DID THAT! I still struggle a lot, and I should probably talk more about my problems but i find it difficult to explain and people don't understand and they shout and i'm in the wrong. it's complicated, but at least i am much much happier. I never want to go anywhere as bad as 2016 again, i wouldn't wish that on anyone. I think my most important resolution was this one so i am glad i stuck it out.

So those were this years resolutions. I guess 2/6 ain't bad! hahah! hopefully next year i can continue number 6 and stay smiling, even when it is difficult. oh gosh because i did the number list the format of this blog has completely been ruined so ignore any strange things in this outro because i am trying to sort it out but it just isn't working. hmmm..... my next blog post will be released on january 1st 2018, with my new resolutions so when that goes live i will link it here, or you could just search for it yourself if i forget. i am a bit of a goldfish to be honest! keep being happy future anna, and anyone else reading this, do something to make yourself smile! x

My Christmas Writing Wish

(Beep)

Ok ok calm down chill out relax ok cool yes woooo ok. Hey future anna, how's it hangin? I really wanted to do a christmassy blog post but i had nothing to write about until one of my christmas wishes came true today. Hmmm ok. So last month, i applied to go on a screenwriting week residential course run through the bfi that is being run next year. I didn't think i would get it as it's an incredible opportunity and i always feel i never really present myself well through application forms. But blow me down, i was selected. It's crazy!! I truly can't wait to meet others who wanna learn more like myself, and be able to meet industry professionals who know thete stuff and can help me write better screenplays! I hope to at least blog about the week which is happening in February and i might vlog it too, who knows, i just know that everything is going pretty well right now! I just hope your life continues to go well future anna and anyone else who is reading this! I don't think i will blog until next week about new years stuff now, but i really wanted to write this down so i could remember how happy i am, and that one of my Christmas wishes came true! Merry christmas future anna x

How Big Of A Fangirl Am I?

(beep)

oh gee wiz future anna it's another instagram questions blog post lmao ok. i actually really enjoy doing these and seeing the answers everyone else puts! the reason i don't do them on my instagram is because i always wanna talk and explain about each answer but you can't really do that on there, so cheers to my blog for allowing me the pleasure! this instagram question set is titled 'how big of a fangirl are you?', and i think it was created by @yaystorybingos because that's whose @ is on the post, even though i found the questions through someone else doing them! ok, these questions can be answered with either: yes, kinda, or no, so i will answer with one of those and then elaborate! let's go...

stayed up all night waiting for a new album/song/show/video/etc
YES! i have only done this once, so far as i can remember, and that was when katy perry released her newest album 'witness'! oh wait, i can vaguely remember setting an alarm for 4am once to listen to a song but i can't remember what it was haha! anyway, i sometimes get super tired, and to me, it doesn't matter if i don't listen/watch something straight away, but i had waited for the new katy album for years, so had to hear it as soon as i could!

went to their hotel or the airport to look for them
NO! i would never ever do this! i think it's an invasion of privacy, and i wouldn't like it, so they probably don't. if they happened to be on the same flight as me, or staying in the same place, i might try and bump into them, but i would never go out of my way to do this.

ran a social media account dedicated to them
NO! i can just about look after my own few accounts, so i am truly in awe of people who put aside their time to post and make edits! i follow a few bastille pages on instagram, and quite a few katy/bastille pages on twitter! if one follows me, i follow them right back as i love the community feel!

dressed exactly like them
YES! for halloween one year, i spent weeks making a costume like on katy had worn on the california dreams tour! i even bought a black wig! i don't know if  i have a photo, but if i find one, i will post it here! a lot of people say i dress like dan smith, but i genuinely don't mean to. we just have similar styles.

know every single word to all their songs
KINDA! if we're talking about katy perry and bastille being the main artists i fangirl over, i like to think i know every word, but i probably don't! haha!

memorised every single intro to their songs
KINDA! i wouldn't say i have sat down and listened to the start of songs until i know them off by heart, but i would say i am pretty good at recognizing songs!

skipped school/work to meet/see them
NO! my mum would never allow me, but i once sat in the college library to try and get tickets for a concert once and was so excited i nearly cried lol

been broke because of them
NO! i could easily let myself get swept away with buying tickets and merch, but i am pretty good at stopping myself. i guess this makes me pretty lucky in the scheme of things, but if you counted how much i have spent over the years on my fangirl things, i would probably faint! although this past week has caused me to spend £150 on bastille tickets...

booked a flight to see them
NO! i haven't ever seen any bands or artists i like abroad, i like to stick to the UK, although in the future i will probably be the kind of person who books holidays around concerts haha!

done your hair/makeup just like theirs
KINDA! i tried to do my hair and makeup like katy's when i dressed up as her for halloween, but other than that, never!!

waited at the computer at least 30 minutes before tickets go on sale
YES YES YES! this is me! i like to be ready and prepared, and because of that, i have always got the tickets i wanted! waiting pays off xoxo

gotten front row at a concert
NO! I wish, but to be honest, i have never actually tried! when i see katy pn tour, and when bastille tour next, i will be there at the front! basically on the stage! hahah!

camped out for a concert/show
NO! like my previous answer, i haven't, but i plan on getting to katy's and bastille's future shows super early!

had internet friends because of them
YES! i have made some incredible friends through following artists! a lot of people don't understand internet friendships, but i am so grateful my parents do! i have met 5 people through twitter, and more people through them! i love making new friends who like similar music to me, so the fact i have been able to do that is still incredible to me! infact, i am seeing katy perry and bastille next year with some of my internet friends!!

snuck backstage to find them
NO! I don't think i could ever bring myself to do this. i would rather be in a bad spot but enjoy the whole concert, than risk getting kicked out and not seeing my faves perform at all!

bought m&g tickets for them
NO! i have never done this, but i guess i am lucky that katy offers free meet and greets to katycats, and bastille don't charge ridiculous prices to see them! hopefully i meet katy when she comes to the uk, or at least some of the katycats i am friends with through twitter! that would be amazing to see! and i still can't believe i met dan smith, the lead singer of bastille super randomly yet perfectly!

cried because of them
YES! i think i have only cried once, but that was when bastille did a cover of some incredible female artists AND THEN THEY STARTED PLAYING ROAR AND I BURST INTO TEARS BECAUSE I JUST COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT MY FAVOURITE BAND WERE PLAYING ONE OF MY FAVOURITE KATY SONGS. ok, calm down anna. i was close to tears when dan and katy met at the brits this year, but i was just too ecstatic to let the tears form!

failed an exam/test because of them
NO! school comes first, well it did when i still went, so i would always put my grades first. however, the night before my gcses started, i saw katy on the prismatic world tour. yes, some of the most important exams of my life, yet katy performing the night before was incredible, and i was still able to get up early to get an A in my english exam!!!

had your phone confiscated because of them
NO! i have never had my phone taken away because of checking what they were doing, but if i ever have used my phone at work or college, i just did it in secret or waited til i was home.

cried because you couldn't attend a show/concert
NO! i've been sad if i haven't been able to attend shows and events, but there will always be other shows, and i can't go to anything. instead of feeling sad, i feel happy for those who are able to attend and the incredible time they will have!

created a concert project for them
NO! I think it would be wicked to create a large project, but i never think of anything in time! hahah! i joined a katy perry project when i saw her during the prismatic world tour, and that was holding a piece f paper saying 'thank you for staying' to be held up during the acoustic section of the show. it was a beautiful experience and i still have the piece of paper.

had at least 1/4 photos on your phone be them
KINDA! i used to download soooo many photos of katy perry onto my ipod touch, and i probably still have them, but i stopped in recent years as i don't have unlimited phone storage. instead, i have an album called 'fangirl' which contains my absolute most favourite pictures! i think i have about 74 in there right now, so it shows how good the image has to be to make the cut! haha!

ran out of storage because of them
YES! continuing on from the last point, my ipod touch never ever had free storage with all the fangirl pics i had on it, and even though my current phone often doesn't have storage, that isn't down to photos, it's down to the apps i have. so i am gonna say yes to this point rather than kinda as i have in the past run out of storage and had to contemplate how many photos i have to delete for my ipod to function, hahah!

So i'm posting this as a special celebration because today, bastille's re-orchestrated tour tickets went on sale!! WOOOO!! i am so so happy as i am seeing them in Manchester, Sheffield and London! i cannot believe it! i work so hard to be able to go to my fave's shows, so the fact i am going to 3 of these incredible, magical shows is so incredible to me and makes all the work i do completely worth it! now i am gonna go and do a 12 hour shift to pay for the tickets, lol. hope you enjoy the shows future anna x

Cheap Yet Quality Filming Supplies

(beep)

hello future anna and anyone else reading this. i have decided to compile a list of cheap or free things i use to make my videos and films, as well as a few things i have learnt and discovered along the way which i always pass on to others! i think this will be cool to look back at in a few years to see how my filming equipment and habits change, but i hope it will help people who want to make their own films see that they don't need to spend all their savings or do anything crazy to tell their stories!

Equipment:

Camera-
to be honest, all you really need to make a film is a camera. and when i say a camera, i don't mean a big 4k camera that you need to sell a kidney to buy, i mean anything you have at home or can easily buy! i started making videos using my ipod touch, and edited on an awful app, but i was always so proud of whatever i created. i still am if i'm completely honest! for me, the quality of the story is more important than the picture quality, so use whatever you can get your hands on: your phone, your family's camera, a camera you could borrow from college or uni, a friend's camera, or you could ask for a small camera for christmas. a few years ago, i spent half of my monthly wage packet on a nikon d5200, and i have made 2 short films and plenty of other videos using it. it is still the camera i use today, so you don't need to spend all you earn, either use what you can or treat yourself to what you can.

Lights-
you don't always need lighting, try and use natural light and film in front of a window if you can. however if you do need studio lights to brighten up your videos, don't panic or start throwing your money around. i have 2 lighting set ups. 1 is an LED light screen that is light enough to clip to the top of my camera so i can light the subject directly in front of me, or change the temperature of the scene to create an atmosphere. when i was looking for a light like this, i found so so so many options, especially quite a few in my price range of £15-£25. i found that quite a few of the LED screens didn't come with a battery, so i went on a mission to find one that came with a battery. i found the perfect one by a brand called tycka, and it was about £30 which was slightly over budget, but it came with a battery, battery charger, and had FANTASTIC reviews! i will leave a link for it here (this one doesn't come with a battery, but i am sure you can find a set that does): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Camera-Lighting-Stepless-Dimmable-Brightness-LED-Light-Panel-NO-battery/dp/B0714J1MHH/ref=pd_sbs_421_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Y8QHVQXQZHXT6A2V1EY2  i use this quite a lot for my youtube videos as it is super easy to set up, and makes my videos look professional and clean.
my second light set up is using large soft boxes. i was first introduced to these at college, and then we used one whilst filming 'the best days' and i thought it was brilliant. the light was so natural yes so so so effective! i was on the look out for a good pair, but didn't want to spend loads! i found a fab pair on amazon for just under £50, which was a little much, but i am glad i bought them! i will link them here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BSG3OWK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1  they have a brilliant light give off (does that make sense haha), and don't hum after a while or get hot. i use them for larger projects, or things on set (at my job) as they work really well as a pair to brighten the space and create professional video footage.
you don't need crazy lighting to make your videos special, but if you do, you don't need to spend a lot! look out for sales and good reviews!

Mic-
microphones can be expensive, but audio can make or break a film. like the picture quality, i am never really bothered about audio as long as the story is brilliant, but for many people, audio quality comes first! if you aren't happy with the audio your camera captures, why not record the audio using a phone, and then transfer the audio to your editing software and place them together. phones nowadays are loaded with incredible quality lenses and microphones, so use what's in your pocket! if you do want to buy a mic, i use a rode video mic which i was given for my birthday, as it was £60 and i couldn't justify spending that on myself. i am still so grateful to my gran and grandad for getting it for me. if you don't want to spend that much, look for a cheaper alternative, or second hand mics on facebook groups or stores like CEX and cash converters. i once found a perfectly working 70mm-300mm sigma lens in cash converters for £25, which i think has been the bargain of my life haha!

Tripod-
tripods can be really expensive! i was looking for a new one a few weeks ago, and they were about £50. i am not spending that much!!! haha!!! if you're filming yourself for youtube, stack a few books or boxes to create a stable platform at the right height for your camera. it's free and super easy! if you do need a tripod, you can occasionally find tripods for about £15, and that's how much i bought mine for about 5 years ago, and you guessed it, i am still using it! it has aided in the filming of 2 films, and hundreds of other videos! it is a little wobbly at times, but works perfectly well, so why would i spend a crazy amount on a new one? use what you have or can get your hands on!

so that's the end of the equipment section, but there are so many other things you can get, however i feel what i listed is more than enough to create films! another thing to look at is film making diys on youtube, as you can see how to make studio backgrounds using pvc piping, light boxes with cheap bulbs, and so much more! if you can't buy it, try and make it, or see if you can find your way around it.

Cast/Crew:
i have been lucky enough to be blessed with a few large friend groups that all contain people who want to go into acting or creative industries, but not everyone has that privilege, so here are some ideas on how to find your cast and crew!

Local facebook groups-
try and join a few local, regional or national facebook groups for drama people, film people, extras, actors, etc, you get the picture! you can see jobs people are offering, as well as list your own ads for people to see and hopefully apply for! quite a few groups offer jobs and things for free, however quite a few people may expect to be paid for being involved in your project. what i do is feed my cast and crew and offer to pay for any travel expenses! that way, i can have a large cast and crew without having to worry about payment. if you can, pay who you work with, but if it's a low budget production, people will understand.

Friends/family-
like i said at the start of this section, i have been blessed with many creative friends and family members who are always more than willing to give me a hand, so why not ask your friends and family! i find it really nice to work with people i know, as there is no awkwardness or unsure situations. they may not want to be on front of the camera, but i am sure the people around you will help in anyway they can, from making cups of tea, to sourcing props!

Drama clubs-
whether you approach clubs at your school, uni or local community, you are sure to find local actors who want to do more film work! these clubs are full of people who love acting, so whatever kind of character you are looking for, you are sure to find them at a drama club! these are also great to join if you want experience acting, directing, or working back stage! or just to meet people and gain contacts!

Software:

Audacity-
i first learnt about audacity in primary school, then used it a little in high school, and i am now constantly using it for my film projects! it's FREE to download, and super easy to use, meaning your audio can be more professional! i use it to get rid of background noise and any slight sounds there may be over video that i don't want. i use it all the time, and truly recommend it be part of your film kit (unless you have another sound editor or can use your video editor of course)!

Phone apps-
apps nowadays are incredible! i used to edit on an awful app that always shut down or didn't save my videos, but it gave me the freedom to make my own videos using just my ipod touch! you can now download imovie onto your iphone or ipad, and there are a range of apps that allow you to edit video footage, as well as add cool effects to what you are creating! as i use my laptop to edit and not my phone, i don't have a list of the best video editing apps to use, but if you want i can do a post about what i do on my phone when making films or if i use it to edit photos! have a look on the app store and see what you can find! if you see anything good, let me know!

Youtube editor-
if you didn't know, you can edit videos actually on youtube! when you log into your account, you have the option to edit footage to easily upload! i have never actually used it, but i know quite a few people who do as it's FREE, and makes uploading super easy! definitely worth a look!

Music:
so you've got your film, but you wanna add music? this can be one of the hardest parts of making a film, because so much music isn't able to use without permission, and permission can be really difficult to get. here is where i source quite a bit of my music from!

Friends/family-
like i have said, a lot of my friends are super creative, and luckily for me, my friend nathan makes music! i asked him quite a while ago if he ever wanted to collab with me, and he said he would love to make a song for my latest short film Je m'appelle! nathan and my friend beth got together and wrote/recorded  brilliant song that i could use! so if you can, use songs your friends make, or even have a go at making your own music! make sure to get your friend's permission first though!

Ask artists-
when i was writing my first short film The Best Days, i really wanted a particular song to be in it as i felt it fitted PERFECTLY! instead of just sitting around looking for something else or using it without asking, i just thought it would be best to ask the artists personally! she got back within a few seconds saying that she would love for me to use the song! i was over the moon! i am still obsessed with this song and artist, so if there is a particular song you want to use, there is no harm in asking!

Youtube audio library-
along with the editing, youtube is brilliant for making videos and films! they offer an audio library filled with music and sound effects you can use on your own projects! always check the royalties stated next to the songs, but this is super easy to find music that you can use for FREE, even for videos not going on youtube! just google search: youtube audio library, or find it through the 'creator studio' section on youtube.

Google royalty free music-
if you can't find what you're looking for, it's worth googling it

so i guess this was my cheap/free guide to filmmaking supplies, and to some people this may be all wrong, to some it may be ridiculous, but to others it could be a lifesaver, like it is to me. i consider myself super lucky. my family have let me turn our house into a film set twice, my friends all want to help me out on projects, and i can afford my camera and any other supplies i may need, but some people don't have that. hopefully you can use what i have written here to help you make your own projects, no matter your budget, and tell your stories to the world! if you ever make any videos or anything, tweet me as i would love to support it and you! future anna, feel free to expand on this in the future, as i would love to see how my filming guide changes over time! just so ya'll know, i am far from professional, i just love telling stories, and this helps me do that! if you have any questions, let me know!

My Happiness Routine

(beep)

hello future anna! i thought instead of a mobile mind post, i thought i would talk about what i do to make myself happy or less worried about things! i wouldn't say it's a routine as such, but i do most of these every day in this kind of order, so it's possibly a routine! i guess it is. i thought as well as writing all these down, it would be sweet to pair it with a short video on my youtube channel, bringing to life what i talk about. i wanted to also pair the video with a blog post so i could give a bit of detail about each thing. i will link the video here:

"i spent a long time not being happy. i still have moments of unhappiness, everyone does, but i have found a few things that truly make me happy. i try and do a few of these at least once a day, but depending on what i'm doing, my happiness routine changes. this is what i do to make me smile."

Bath With Podcasts

just to establish, my family and i live in an old house, so we don't have a shower, we have a bath. we are hoping to get a shower fitted at some point, but for now, each morning (or night depending on the situation) i have a short bath. it basically lasts that same amount of time as a shower would, but having a bath makes me feel calm and that i am washing away any dirt (real or metaphorical) to make me feel free and idk, but you get it. one thing i love doing whilst in the bath is listen to podcasts! my favourite is 'my dad wrote a porno' because it makes me laugh so so much! i think it's brilliant! i really want to see them when they go on tour next year, but i am seeing dua lipa on the night they are near me! such a shame, and i have nearly finished season 3 of the podcast too so it isn't going well really, but next year season 4 should be out and i cannot wait!!

Cup Of Tea

i'm british so this had to be on the list! haha! if i am in a mood or feeling unsure about anything, i make myself a cup of tea and chill out. my favourite teas are jut general black tea and china rose petal tea from betty's! i really want to try the snowball tea from the bluebell tea company as i smelt it when i was in bristol, and i really wish i had bought it then, because the postage is quite expensive, soooooo.... maybe one day!

Music

one thing that ALWAYS cheers me up and makes me feel less anxious is listening to music! whether it's bastille, katy perry, mumford and sons, kacey musgraves, or any of the other amazing artists i listen to, just hearing their voices and familiar sounds make me feel like home, and cosy and safe.

Family + Friends

i love spending time and talking to my family and friends. they make me smile and feel all happy inside. whether that's chatting to my grandad about going on holiday, or speaking to my friends through video-chatting, i feel loved and warm inside when i am surrounded by people i love. even though i love being on my own, i love when my family all come home after a day of school or work, and we can all be together. i also can't wait for my friends to come home from uni for christmas so i can see them all!

Singing

i can sometimes get really anxious when driving, especially on duel carriage ways which i have to drive on for about 30 minutes to and from work. it stresses me out when cars try and drastically take over or get too close to me, so to calm myself, i sing. whether it's along to a cd i have in my car, or just tunes i know, singing calms me down and makes me feel happy. i guess this links to the music one, but i just can't get enough of hearing my favourite artists' songs.

Walking

i often spend my entire day inside, on my laptop, getting stuff done. i don't mind doing that, but i often think i need to go on a walk to clear my head and freshen up! i live in the countryside, so there is grass a lovely walks, but it's quite nice getting into winter with a slight crisp air and nature changing as the weather does. i enjoy a good walk, i have to be in the mood to go one one, but when i do, i could walk for ages. just me and my thoughts, and anyone else who wants to join me.

Watching Films

if you know me, you know films are everything! my dream job is making films, so watching them makes me so so happy! i love going to the cinema and watching films at home, whether with my dad on dvd, or on netflix, which is what i do most lunchtimes if i am at home and not at work.

Reading/Being In A Safe Space

one of my favourite things to do in an evening is read a book in my room. my room is my safe space. it's colourful and cosy, and my own personal space. reading with my fairy lights on and possibly a candle is so calming and soothing after a long day, and pairing that with my room makes me feel so happy. i am currently reading 'a spot of bother' by mark haddon, who also wrote my favourite book 'the curious incident of the dog in the night time'.

Gigs + Shows

if you've watched the video that goes with this list, you'll know that gigs are my ultimate happy place. i feel so happy seeing my favourite artists and hearing my beloved songs bought to life. it's so surreal being surrounded by people who know all the words just like you, and i hate when they are over. a lot of people have asked why i have bought tickets to see katy perry 4 times next year, and i think this paragraph sums it up. she makes me happy, so why shouldn't i see her a much as i can? i have put shows in this category too as i love love love going to the theatre to see shows, which is a close second to gigs.

obviously there are other things that make me smile, but these are things i try and do as often as possible to keep my happiness as high as it can be! i hope if you're reading this that you're happy, and future anna, i hope you're still smiling and doing all the things on this list!

2017 Look Back

(beep)

hello future anna! i CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S NEARLY 2018! but i think the rest of the world cannot believe it either! haha! this year has zipped by! it started in Sydney, Australia watching the new year, and is ending in a happy place! i still have a bit of December to get through before the year is up, but it's basically over so i thought i would answer these questions! i saw them going round on Instagram and thought i would give them a go!

Was it the best year of your life?

compared to 2016, 2017 has been incredible. 2016 was full of depression and sadness, 2017 was a fresh start, and an incredible journey! in a way, i don't want it to end, but i am excited to see what happens next!

did you move?

nope (thank goodness). i moved house in 2016 and my brain literally exploded with sadness so i am glad that didn't happen again. although i was considering moving to the city, which is still something i would like to do, i just don't know when!

did you make a lot of new friends?

i have met a lot of new people this year! 2 new jobs, a few gig buddies (heyyy charlotte, hollie and hannah), and a load of awesome mutuals on twitter! i am still friends with all the people who really matter in my life even though uni is keeping us apart currently, but i am really happy with the new people i have found. well, most of them, haha!

what's the hardest thing you went through?

after getting back from australia, i had it clear in my mind that i had anxiety. i think the hardest thing i went through was discovering that everything that happened in my head wasn't normal. it still confuses me that not everyone is scared of everything, but i am learning, and still find it a little difficult, although i am now in a much much much happier place!

did you achieve a goal?

according to my new years resolutions, i would say it was 50/50 to what i hoped to achieve this year and what i actually did. i am gonna do another blog post about the resolutions i set and if i completed them or not later on, so i will link it here when it's done!

did it go by fast to you?

yes. very! but i think it did for everyone!

did your clothing style change?

i wouldn't say my style has changed, but i guess i have been more confident to wear my style this past year. that has made me happy, and i now love finding cool tshirts and things to wear!

what was the dumbest trend in your opinion?

hmmm, i don't really know. maybe fidget spinners?

what's something you wish you could redo that you did this year?

go to australia! make another film! have fun times with my friends and family! keep being happy!

how many relationships did you get in?

lmao none

what's something you did that you never had before?

spoken about how i actually feel/whats going on in my head

was school good or bad? why?

i don't go to school anymore, so i am gonna answer this on behalf of work! one job has been alright, and i guess the other has too! hahah! one is still pretty new so nothing major has happened, and although i kinda enjoy the other one, it has its downs which makes it hard at times. but i enjoy working, i enjoy the structure of my days, and i enjoy the money ha!

best memory you made?

i have really had to think about this one. so many great things happened this year! i guess meeting dan smith from my favourite band was an incredibly surreal moment, so i might go with that, although every moment i spent with someone i love or in a space i felt safe has been so lovely! i hope 2018 is as good to me! OH WAIT MY FAVOURITE MEMORY IS WHEN I GOT AN EMAIL TO SAY I HAD WON TICKETS TO A TINY ACOUSTIC BASTILLE GIG IN LONDON! i still can't believe it!

overall, 2017 has been brilliant and i cannot wait to end it at my friend's party, surrounded by people i love all dressed in funny costumes, drinking alcohol, and dancing to awesome music! December still isn't over though, and i still have quite a bit of Christmas shopping to do, so best get to it haha! bye future anna x
